sorry it took a time for me to post my POE review here, as i have been adjusting to everything as i got here..

i can still vividly remember all the details during my POE experience, i should say that i have been a very satisfied customer as i went thru the process.. if there were a little setback to me, it was about how they encoded my name on the system.. i shall describe it as i go through along the review..

My flight arrived 630pm PST.. since i am the person who would want to swarm with the crowd, i let all those who were ahead of me to go through the process and i felt the need to freshen up first.. when i noticed that there were a few people in the customs area already, i went ahead and fell in line at the new immigrants' queue.. there was still a number of people on the queue but it was tolerable. when it was my turn, i was asked to turn in my visa packet, and i mentioned to the officer that i will be entering upon the second year of my marriage. the customs officer didnt open my visa packet yet, but he prrepared the greencard form and went ahead with my fingerprint scanning. i had to queue for another process for the visa packet collection. The customs officer then collected the visa and prepared the documents. i told him again that i as to enter after our 2nd year of marriage, so as to get the IR1 upon entry from a CR1 visa. He asked if i have documents to show this, and i gave him my marriage certificate. The gentleman smiled at me and said, i would be saving my husband 600 usd for the conversion.. hehehe.. Then he made a report to their database about my change of status. If there's a way you can check the entry on the computer, like your name, please make sure your data is correct. It didnt take a while to get out of the immigration. since there were a number of new immigrants then, aall the waiting took around 2 hours to complete..

a few hiccups appeared a week after my entry. When my SSN card arrived, i noticed that my name was incompletely filled in the card. Say for example, my first name is Jane , Middle Name-Campbell, Last Name - Doe., what was entered on my SSN Card was Jane Camp Doe Hubby and i then went to our local SS office, and mentioned that my name waas incorrectly spelled on the card. The officer checked it and told us that what appeared in my ssn detail was, my First name was jane campbell , no middle name, last name = doe. He assured that my number will still be mine and the only thing we need to do was to make sure USCIS input the correct data..

we submitted an infopass appointment and checked with USCIS what to do. Their database also showed the same thing, and since my greencard is already in process, we cant do anything else other than to wait for it and check if the entry is correct. I am days until i get the gc, and am hoping for the best.. then we have to get back to USCIS to check if the data is correct, then will go back to the SSN office to request changes for the error on their system...

No harassment felt during the POE experience, but a little disappointed with the other paperworks which followed..
