Went really quickly and very hassle free. Got in line as per usual, told the officer I was coming in on a K-1 visa and asked if I filled out my customs form correctly. Then handed over my envelope and I-94 form(Which I had initially forgotten to fill out, hah).
After taking my picture and fingerprints he directed me to the immigration office where I had to sit for a few minutes(No phones allowed!) before my name was called and I got my stamped passport back and I was all set.
Had to pick up my luggage and bring it over to the next flight. Went by the customs officers, with cart and luggage and all, and everything was fine. Got one question about what I had in my bass case and that was it. No questions about the ~$600 of stuff I had declared to stay in the US(mostly films, CD's and a few action figures. Forgot to put my bass on it, funnily enough). They mark your customs form with K-1 as well, so maybe that's why.
So, all-in-all, very hassle free. Only wished I had not purposely done a 6 hour layover. Figured I'd be prepared for if the process took a lot longer than the 30 or so minutes it took, but it was really necessary.
