The wife saw 2 separate officers who:
1. checked her visa bag
2. did interview in room and had wife sign a paper, took index finger print, endorsed her passport with entry stamp and "A" number. She was told to go pick up her luggage
3. At customs took her customs declaration and FinCen 105 forms and she was set free.
Now she's off to the next terminal for her connection to Tampa.
She said the process was fast and simple. Customs officers only asked minimum questions and the whole process took about 30 minutes.
The only glitch was that the wife thought that she could re-check her baggage to Tampa while still inside the secure customs/immigration area. Not true. She had take the baggage to the next terminal herself using Sky Train.
That's it, quick and easy.
