Xiaoming was delayed a little bit getting through the POE in LAX, but not because of any problems with her papers. When the CBP officer talked to her and could tell her English was good, they sent her to another line where the CBP officer needed a translator to help with another immigrant :-p. Once that was completed here entry went smooth and the officer was understandably very nice. Can't imagine they would give her grief after asking for her help but stranger things have happened. She did manage to slip in to the arrivals hall behind a group of people so I didn't see her coming up the ramp and didn't know she was through the POE until she snuck up behind me. hehe. All in all, LAX seems to be a pretty smooth and fast operation
