We were sent to the CBP office and there was only one person there since it was so early. They took our packet and the officer proceeded to have a 15-minute conversation with a friend instead of processing us. That was slightly annoying since our dog was waiting in baggage claim and we had a connecting flight to catch (the dog was fine and we made the flight, but just barely on both counts).
The officer chit-chatted a little with us about coming to the US and processed our papers after about another 20 minutes. He was very friendly the whole time, just not the most efficient.
