I went first to the normal immigration desk where they opened my sealed brown envelope, all they asked was the date of marriage, then called another officer over who again looked at the forms and wrote on them. They told me to go to another desk at the end of the hall where they would interview me. I went to this desk, for immigrants and refugees. There they told me to wait and be called, the instructions weren't clear as to where to wait, so I asked 'with the other people in the queue?' He didn't answer. There were 4 people already waiting to be processed. A few minutes later the official yells at me, 'Did I tell you to sit there? Stand here!' I guess I shouldn't have used the word queue, he didn't know what it meant.
Two of the other immigrants said they had been waiting a long time and one said she had already missed her connecting flight. The officials allowed me to collect my luggage from the carousel and half hour later I was given me green card number, written and stamped in the passport and told the card itself will arrive in 6 months. There was no interview and I didn't receive any papers apart from a paper advising me to apply to lift the CR1 status 90 days before the 2 years are up.
Everyone was very friendly apart from the one guy who yelled at me for sitting in the wrong place.
