We got into PHL a little ahead schedule. I was seated up front on the plane, and got to immigrations first out of my plane. Primary inspection took approx. 1 minute. The nice lady told me to go to secondary to get my K1 'activated'. Secondary took little more than an hour. It was quite busy when I got there, mostly 'problem cases' or so it seemed. After a long wait the CBP officer called my name, asked me when we were getting married. I told him March 12, after which he replied 'Finally, someone who actually has his stuff figured out'. Apparently most of the time he asks this question he get's a 'Don't know yet'-answer. He then told me everything was good and I went to retrieve my bags, which were waiting for me next to the luggage belt.
I was very glad I allowed myself a 5hr layover. Any less and I would have been stressing while waiting at secondary.
