Despite being quite terrified, having already missed my connecting flight, having a very grumpy guy do the initial thing and having a cat who made every toddler in the que cry when he moved out of range, all in all it really wasn't a terrible experience.
The people I spoke to didn't know right away what the visa was or why I was there, but it went exceptionally quickly and I was waiting to get past the first que longer than I was waiting in their visa processing room. No-one else was there. They were relatively friendly (all except the one guy, who, in all fairness, had had to call a translator something like 8 times in the last hour and a half, and had just had to deal with two planes offloading at the same time), and yea... really smooth. Which is great when your terrified.
