Hi, I'm new here but I am seriously concerned for a friend of mine who lives in Atlanta. If this is not the right area to post this, i apologise but i am desperate for some information please. My friend changed her religion to Muslim in Atlanta and joined a muslim dating site and met this guy who lives to Tanta in Egypt. She is 48, he is 27. They have been corresponding via IM, email and cam for nearly 5months now. He says he loves her and wants to marry her and she has actually brought a ticket to go and visit him (during the muslim holiday Eid, in late September). She plans on becoming engaged to him and bringing him into USA under the fiancee visa scheme. The problem here is that a friend of mine here in australia who is Egypt tells me this is a scam but no matter what i try and tell her - she isn't listening. She wont even test him by saying she will move there and give up her life in USA just to be with him (cause my friend says that would get the guy to back off real quick if he wasn't sincere). My american friend wont even consider this and is refusing to listen to good advice.
I'm very worried about what will happen to a white, muslim american travelling unescorted in Egypt. She has 3 kids at home, who stay off weeks with their father.
I eagerly await some advice here.
