I arrived bright and early, 6:25am on Delta flight DL16 from Sydney into LAX. This was the only plane being processed by customs at the time with over 200 people coming through. I was told to go through the regular counter at border security but was then told to take a seat to the side. I was the very last person to be processed and as far as I know the only person arriving from my flight on a immigrant visa. They took an ink print of my right index finger on a form and I signed my name. The man asked me very few questions, just where was my husband and whether the letters on my sweat shirt were my sorority, they were my husband fraternity letters 
So pretty easy but a long wait at the side all by myself.
