Although I entered in Atlanta there is a pre-clearance facility in Nassau, Bahamas. The experience was horrific. The first Officer who took our passport was nice however the officer who opened the Embassy's package was not. we waited for 45 minutes before we were interviewed. When we were called by latin accent officer. He asked me how many time I was married then he immediately told me he was not going to permit me entry because he did not think I was going to stay married. The officer said he did not want to get personal but he was doing his job. Next he told me that my petition had expired despite the fact that my petition had been approved by the embassy one month prior to its expiration date. I told him that according to the embassy I had six month from the issuance of my K1 visa to applied and that due to other commitmnts (notice leave - job, creditors - house, loans, car kids in school, college, etc.) which I had to resolve I could not leave immediately. He basically told me too bad I should leave my children and they could come later. The officer did not stop there he told me that my fiancee could not afford to take care of me. I told the officer I have rental income from my house in the Bahamas. the officer asked for evidence. I told my bank account reflects this. He said that he could not accept that as eveidence because I could withdraw and keep depositing the same amount. I told him the deposits were being done prior to me meeting my fiancee. The officer said he still could not accept this.At this point I the officer if he retrieved my baggage I would show him the house deeds in my name. Then the officer backed off.At this point it was 10 minutes before my flight was scheduled to depart. The officer did other things then said he still could not permit me entry to the USA because my K1 petition had expired and the K1 Visa meant nothing. However, th officer said he would ask his supervisor but he did not think I should be allowed entry to the USA. In 2 minutes the officer came back dragging slowly and said his supervisor said it was ok. Then he said that he was only doing his job and asked when I was getting married. I replied first week in August 2009. He said that I should get married right away because of the break in my paper work and that CIS will not approve my application. He also said that h was going to immediately bring my file to the CIS attention. He took the remainging time to my flight and logged in my data. Once I received my documents from him I ran as quickly as I could to the gate. Luckily the agent had held it for us because she appeared to have expected this because I told her at check-in I was relocating. I thought this officer appeared to have issues and I endeavoured as best I could to avoid a confrontation and focus on being with the love of my life. Basically he needs to get a life or love his life. I'm in America with my Baby
