I had no idea that the immigration was going to happen right there, in Ireland, before I even got on the plane to Boston.
I got a little scared, because I only had an hour left before my plane left to Boston, when I realized that this was my port of entry.
I did not expect it at all, and after I asked, they told me that this was the only european country that was doing it.
But in the end, there was no problem at all, the officer was very nice and funny. I had to wait about 10 minutes cause they were taking care of someone else, then they called me in the office and talked to me for about 5 minutes. Then, they handed me my passport and I was on my way.
I was in America without even setting foot in the country 
Very positive experience.
