Flight landed at JFK without too much of a delay but like others posted here said, there were long lines at immigration. i escorted my fiancee through the non-american passport lines. the IO took my passport first, no questions at all, just stamped it. then opened my fiancees packet. he was looking at her passport and noticed she had a visa waiver...he said she should have just come on the visa waiver and gotten married rather than go through the fiancee visa process. anyway, no questions asked of her except for fingerprints. after she put her hand on the fingerprinter the IO said Shookria (Thank you in Urdu). My fiancee was floored that the IO knew Urdu and this finally put her at ease. he stamped her passport and then sent us to another desk (not sure what happened here since i went to go get our luggage). they told her that she needed to go though a different customs line because they needed to check her luggage. she went through a seperate line but they didnt check her bags. the line at immigration took about 45 minutes, but once we got to the IO until we were out of the airport was about 20 minutes.
