Absolutely no problems. My husband arrived at the gate (JFK)at 7pm with a very long line and it was taking 30 min. per person, so he tells the nearest guard he has to catch another flight in an hour and shows his ticket. They pulled him from line, took him to a room, they asked a few questions and sent him off.
