Immigration was in n out thing for us. I first stood with my husband at the USC line, they took my brown envelop and put it in a pink folder.

I was then asked to pick up my baggages and go to a different room for further screening.

Took forever to get our baggages, anyways we requested the guards out there if I can deal with my immigration while my husband take care of baggages, they were kind of reluctant but then we showed our connecting flight which was only half an hour away, so they let us do it.

I went to this open room where a gentleman out there first took that pink folder and my passport, he typed something out in his computer, then he took my fingerprints and said --welcome to America.

Told me how I will get my greencard in mail within next 3 months and he also stamped my passport telling me how I can work and travel for 1 year with that stamp alone, till the time I don't receive my greencard.

So immigration was really nice, but catching our connecting flight.......well that was a different story all together, basically me and Joe were running a marathon at Chicago terminals but we finally did catch our flight just 2 minutes before doors were about to be shut down.
