My lady, her son and I arrived in Atlanta about 5:30 pm on a Air France/Delta flight from Paris. After coming up one suitcase short we were directed to the room for gaining entry to America for the two of them. We waited about 45 long minutes before being called up to one of the big desks. Atlanta, stated the man when asked, does not issue work permits. He asked when the wedding was planned to which we said we had not decided. He reminded us that 90 days was the limit, returned the passport with paperwork attached and told us we were free to leave. It was not a particularly warm and fuzzy process, but was tolerable if a bit lengthy considering how few other people seemed to be waiting.
