We arrived in Atlanta around 8 am. It was very quiet! Pedro went with me to the "US Citizens and Permanent Residents" line which was super short compared to the visitor's line. The IO took our passports and the customs paper we filled out on the airplane (just one for both of us). He entered Pedro's passport into the computer then mine and wrote a huge "P" on our form. He told us they would process us downstairs. We retrieved our luggage and went to the final IO who directed us to an area where about 4 other people were waiting. A man asked for Pedro's passport and the brown package that came with it. Then he told us to have a seat because there were a few people before us. About 15 minutes later, he called Pedro's name and had him put his signature and fingerprint on both sides of a paper. He said his passport will work as his card until it comes in the mail in about 2 months. That was it! Super easy!
