We came thru the Vancouver International Airport. Was pretty easy. I had my daughter & 2 cats with us. We had a mover move our stuff for us. They were holding my contents until I faxed them a copy of my stamped K-1 .
Went thru initial customs point no problem. The nice lady asked where we were going and for how long. I said SLC and for life! She laughed and asked where we were from . Said she had just moved to Vancouver from Texas and loved it. We talked further about different areas of BC and where the best camping and hiking was. Then she asked me to go to the secondary area. Wait there with our cats (in carriers) and our luggage until our name was called.
When our name was called the guy told us to just leave our stuff there ( including the cats) I was kinda worried because all I've ever heard all my life is to never leave your luggage alone at an airport! He took my passport, and info, made my daughter sign her passport. She was 8 yrs old at the time. Then he stamped stuff gave me my passport and K-1. I asked him if he needed the chest xray and he laughed and said No, you can keep it and frame it if ya like!
Then as we were leaving he said, " Make sure ya marry the right guy!" I smiled and said, " Oh I will! "
Then we were on our way!
