After waiting for 30 minutes in the first line I was then escorted to the secondary waiting room. There were probably 15 people in there. After 30 minutes one of the immigration officers picked up my file, looked at the envelope and I-94, then put it back in the folder and handled somebody else's application! I wasn't very impressed. After waiting another 35 minutes, finally someone did take my file, open the secret envelope that I'd been carrying around, and then called me over. The first couple of questions were fine, but then I was tricked! They asked "what does your husband do for a living". I was really tired after an 11-hour flight and now a 90-minute wait, so I told them what my SO does. Then they said "well you're coming here on a K1 so you shouldn't be married... is he really your husband?" Oops... Thankfully they were ok with it and I assured them that the wedding is several weeks away, so they filled in the 90-day date for my I-94 and said I could go.

Overall, it was ok I guess. The waiting room is stuffy (if there are lots of people like when I was there) and there's nowhere to get a drink, so make sure you're not thirsty before you go in there! Plus, make sure you don't fall for any trick questions!
