It was so easy! The line looked huge at first but it was managed so well that, eventually, I'd waited for only 15min to talk to the officer. He openned my brown envelope, checked the paperwork, and sent me to a little office two steps away. I once again submitted my passport and the envelope and was asked to wait. It took around 15min there, too. When the officer was handing me my passport, I asked if he put an EAD stamp. He looked like he'd just forgotten that; two minutes later I had my passport with EAD and proceeded to my domestic flight  .
