After standing in the wrong line for an hour (DO NOT STAND IN THE VISITOR OR GREENCARD HOLDERS LINE) and being told to go find the NEW IMMIGRANT line (its on the far left in Terminal 2 in LAX) I noticed I'm the last guy on the day and there are 50 or so people waiting for hours sitting there to enter... I was not optimistic... but what happened was, all the immigration officers came down and started working on the immigrant visas, but only after all the tourist and americans/green card holders already cleared off from all flights.
All together a couple hours wait, but it was great to hear finally "Welcome to America, and have a nice day (or what's left of it)!!!" - it was 23:40pm.
