Could not have been easier.

Stood in the Visitors line with everyone else and gave the guy at the desk my brown envelope and I-94. After taking the usual finger prints and photo he opened the envelope but didn't pay any attention to what was inside he simply stamped the I-94 in a couple of places attached the top part of it to one of the files in the envelope then marked the K1 in the passport to show it had been used and stapled the bottom part of the I-94 in to my passport told me I had to marry in 90 days and said I was good to go. Probably 2 minutes in total. I wasn't asked any questions at all and the officer was the frendliest I've had at Chicago by miles. After I was done he spent an ather 2-3 minutes telling me about how he went throught the process with his wife a few years ago then he wished me luck and said welcome to America.
