Ok..so I went at the embassy around 1:15,my interview was at 1:30, the guards told me I can go inside…
I went inside the building, and waited for 10 minutes, then my name was called by a nice Bulgarian woman.
She started asking me questions, in Bulgarian of course, about how and where we met…normal questions about both of us..what does he work, does he live alone..she had this list with sample questions, I think, cause I saw her checking them out.
Then she went through all our photos, the ones we sent with the petition, and made me explain who is who in them…everything went well! There was nothing scary, its just the waiting that makes it look harder. Then she said, everything look ok, and asked me to sit down, and wait for the council.
That took 2:15 hours…..sigh…we’ve waited there for so long…that was the worse part!
They called my name, it was a young American woman, around 30’s…she was nice and polite, and asked me only 2-3 questions, went thorough the photos again, didn’t ask for any other kind of proof.
Then she said OK,your visa will be mailed back to you in 5 days. But I was so nervous, I wasn’t sure what I heard…they didn’t say “Ok, you’re approved!”,as I expected to hear it, and I got confused if we were really approved or not, so I turned back, and asked “So, we’re approved??”…she was smiling, and said “Yes ,you’re good to go”.
My passport is there, I know that means we’re approved…and now I am waiting for my visa, it’s kind of nerve wrecking …
There’s nothing to worry about…people there are nice and polite. But don’t be like me, if you don’t hear or understand what they’re saying, ask them to repeat..now I am nervous about my visa, I know everything is fine, but I’ll relax when I see it in my hands!
Good luck to all of you!
