Review Topic: K1 Visa

I will fast forward to the interview day. I (the petitioner) traveled to India to accompany my fiancee for the interview.

7:00 am - Drive to the embassy from South Delhi
7:30 am - Arrive at the embassy. There's a crowd of people waiting. The embassy is not open yet. People are just standing around.
7:45 am - In line to enter the embassy. They are letting people who are scheduled for 8:00 am and 8:15 am into the embassy now.
7:55 am - Enter the embassy and pass a small security check point.
8:05 am - Get a token number. The token number for K1/K3 visa start with J. Our token number was one of the first 5 J token numbers.
8:10 am - Asked to take a seat at the general seating area inside the embassy
8:20 am - Asked to stand in a line where finger prints are being taken for all `J` token holders.
8:25 am - Asked to seat in a different area (all immigrant visa applicants are seated here)
8:45 am - Called to a counter by a pre-interview screener. They returned all the documents we had submitted to the VFS 2 weeks prior to the interview. Asked me who I (petitioner) was. Asked to the pay the $240 (reduced) K1 visa fee.
8:55 am - Back in the seating area.
9:35 am - Called for the CO interview. Young looking white male was going to conduct the interview. We step to the window, and he asks my fiancee her name. Then looks at me and asks if I am the petitioner. I said yes. My fiancee is asked to take an oath and then asks her to sign the DS-156K (NOTE DS-230 PART II was NOT given to her to sign). Questions asked:
1) How did you meet?
2) Why are you getting married in the US? (My fiancee says, that's where I will be spending the rest of my life. My fiance's family and all his friends live there. We decided to have a small engagement party here and the main wedding party in the US0
3) Will your parent be attending the wedding.
4) Looks at me and asks, How did you (the petitioner) acquire your citizenship.

And finally... Congratulations, your visa is approved. You should receive it in 5-7 days. Passport was returned to us after exactly 1 week.
