This last interview was about 25 minutes (we were denied 2 previous times...see links below)...he was asked my birthday, wedding date, where we had our wedding party, how many people, what i did for work (bakery manager), what hours do I work , what do I bake at work, am I tired at night (I work early mornings), do I bake at home (he said yes, she does cakes for her family, she just made a cake last weekend) what kind of cake did she make, and for who, how old is my son, what are his hobbies (cub scouts and baseball), does he go camping, does he have friends from cub scouts, how many boys in his cub scouts, how long has he been doing kung foo (hubby never said that, so he corrected him) what my mom did for a living, how long she worked at her job, what is her job title, my sisters names, how many kids do they have, what are their names, what are their husbands names, what do they do for a living, what kind of car do I drive, do I own my car, or have a loan on it, does he (hubby) have any friends in america, how did he get here, how did he meet his wife. He looked at the picture album he brought with him. We could tell, again, that the decision was pretty much made before the interview....all went superb, and after he was approved, a Moroccan man came over to tell my husband what he needed to do, and he also changed the CR1 status to IR1. We were very pleased with this interview.

Have your fiance/spouse elaborate when he can, for example, when the co asked if my son had friends from cub scouts, my husband said yes, in fact, he went to a birthday party last night for one of the boys from his pack. Also, it is ok to say I don't know, but add something you do know...for example, he knew where my mom worked, and how long, but did not know her job title, but he said he knew she made airplane engines. He said he didn't know how many boys were in his cub scout pack, but didn't elaborate on that. When he asked if I am tired at night, he elaborated that sometimes I am, because I have my son, and my nephew, and have to do homework with them, make dinner, things like that. It showed he had a knowledge of my life.
