So I guess it's finally my turn to write here
My husband and I drove to Rio the night before to get familiar with the place before the actual interview. We stayed the hotel business atlantico centro ( the hotel was nice not that expensive has a pool on the roof and has a nice view) we left for the interview at 6:30 the consulate was only a couple of blocks away from the hotel (thank God because walking on that bumpy street in 6 inch heels in the rain was a pain in the butt lol) we finally got there and were allowed in around 7:10 (no electronics whatsoever! We went up to the 2nd floor and sat down and waited...and waited and waited (like we didn't wait enough for the actual interview -__-) we filled out a form then were called into a small room the lady asked a couple of questions then took my husbands fingerprints and we were told to sit back down. About an hour later we were called into room 3, let me tell you the guy was a complete ***hole! Rolling his eyes the moment we entered the room. He asked me if I spoke Portuguese and I said kind of and asked my husband if he spoke English and he said kind of he didn't understand that I'm Colombian and speak Spanish to my husband along with a mix of English and Portuguese. He asked my husband to step out and asked me a series of questions, then told me to call my husband back in and asked him the same things my husband messed up on one question mind you most were rather personal questions and the guy said I don't believe you two are a real couple, I exploded and started crying trembling from anger and screamed at the guy "I'VE BEEN WAITING A YEAR FOR THIS INTERVIEW FOR YOU TO TELL ME THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE US?!" i guess he saw how offended I was and then shortly after said I'm gonna put down you guys are a real couple (I don't know if he was trying to see our reaction) but the he said I cant approve the visa because my husband entered the US without inspesction in 2005. So we had a 2nd interview an hour later and were given the I-601 waiver and now we have another form to fill and more time to wait. All in all I thought the interview was more stressful and didn't appreciate anyone's attitude at the consulate
