I got to Frankfurt a day before the interview, to get some good sleep before the big day
My appointment was at 8.30am. I was at the embassy at around 8.15am. I got my number, went through security, got inside the embassy and sat down. A few minutes later my number got called... Window 23 - The lady wanted my passport, passport pic and the Roskos&Meier receipt. I got a blue sheet which told me how to order my documents.
I sat down again and number got called. Window 21 - First I got the envelope to put my address on and the stamps. Then he wanted to see my documents. Explained me everything about the 'do not open envelope', what I have to do after I'm in the US, and so on...
I sat down again..and the waiting began! My number got called and I went to Window 17 - The man who interviewed me was really nice. First I had to swore and sign the form DS-156k. Then he was looking at my papers for about two minutes before he asked me some questions...The questions were:
What does your fiance do?
Have you lived somewhere else or just in Germany?
How many kids did you take care of as an AuPair?
Have you had any problems entering or leaving the US?
Where will you live in the States?
Is your fiancee still in the military?
Then he closed the folder with all my paperwork and said 'You are all set'!! I was a little confused and I guess he realized it and told me 'that everything looks good, visa is approved'!!!
I was really thankful...everybody was relly nice there! After an hour and ten minutes I was out of the embassy!
