Hi VJ friends,
Since I have got a lot of valuable knowledge and advice from this forum, so it is my turn to share the experience.
Background :
I entered USA with B2 in July 2011, got married in October and filed AOS in mid November.
It was my 4th time visiting US. (1st time (2006) was my business trip I stayed for 1 week, 2nd time (2010) to see my that-time boyfriend for 10 days and 3rd time (2011)to see him again for 2 weeks)
Interview Experience:
I had my interview on Friday, March 2nd, appointment time was 9.15. We were there at 8.30, waited until around 10 am. to get called in. The officer is an African-American woman, she walked us to her office and had us made the oath.
After that, she brought our file up on her desk and started to look and write something in it.. one page to another and another.. and another.. She didn't say a word for almost 10 minutes (it might be shorter but I felt that she took so long time with the paper), it was so very quiet so tense.
After that, she asked us to show our identifications, my husband gave her his driver's license and I gave her my passport.
Then she started to ask simple questions:
To me: What is my full husband's name? His place of birth, his date of birth and has he been married?
To my husband: Exactly the same questions above, and she also asked him what my father's and mother's name is.
Suddenly, her phone rang, it was her office's phone. She picked up and it was her personal things. She made 2-3 more personal phone calls after the first.. It took around 10 mins before she turned back to continue talking to us, no excuse, no apology.
Then she asked how we met? When did it become romantic?
Since we are not talkative couples, we told her a very short brief story. And she said "Is that all?" with a hard tone of voice and face. We told her more and when we stopped, she said "is that all?" and looked like she was still unsatisfied with what we told her.. My husband asked her if any specific things she wanted to know.. She still kept saying "anything else you want to tell me?, is that all?" It was so tense and stressful.
Then she asked what document/paper that I brought to show her.. I show her one by one of:
- Photo album (We have only 15 photos, only one from the wedding) : she asked who were in the photo?
- Phone bill family plan : No question
- Joint Bank Account : She asked who use this account (me). And which account my husband's salary is deposited? (It is in his bank account, my name is not in there)
- Water Bill - Joint name : No question
- Our wedding photo that posted on facebook with 40-50 comments from friends and relatives of both of us.
- Our event invitation on facebook, we invited friends and relatives to join casual dinner to celebrate our wedding. : She asked what was the photo in there (It was Thai food that I cooked)
- Affidavit from my husband's cousin.
Then she asked if we have anything else to give her, I said nothing more.
She asked if we have SSN, Driver's license or any other identification cards.
We gave her my husband driver's license, and SSN card (I was lucky that I brought it, I didn't expect that she will ask for it).
I gave her my passport and EAD card. She took my I-94. She asked again if I have SSN and driver's license and no, I don't. (I'm working on my SSN which is another long story that I had to wait 6 weeks to get it) I got my SSN in my mailbox on Saturday, next day after the interview.
And that's it! She said ok and I can wait for the decision that will be sent by mail.
I asked if it is going to be approved, she said she had to go through our files and she couldn't tell. 
She walked us out, stopped on the way to make a copy of my husband's DL and my EAD card and returned them to us.
I came home with the heavy heart.. she seemed not satisfied with us (I don't know why). I think it is her face and tone that was so hard and unfriendly that made me feel so stressful and I felt like I would be in trouble.
It has been quiet for 11 days, it was 11 days in hell. And on March 13th, I got an email that my status has been changed to "Card/ Document Production".
