Review Topic: K1 Visa

Thanks to Visajourney.com on its examples and feedback forums first of all. VisaJourney really helped through this K1 process and the journey for this first step is now over. I will say that my fiancee and I did the whole paperwork by ourselves and it paid off today. We're just about reaching our 4-year long distance and I applied in late July 2011. So here's my review after talking to her on the phone:

1. My fiancee showed up to the embassy half an hour early
2. She walks in and checks in at the counter. Her appointment is at 7:30AM
3. Then she waits until 10AM when she's called. I asked her why they called her in so late and she told me the place was super crowded with people waiting. The previous lady that got out of the door had her interview last 30 minutes
4. My fiancee's turn then comes. The interviewer asked her regular questions as you see on the net when you google "K1 Interview questions". The ones she mentioned to me were:
- How did you two meet? Her answer: We met online
- Which website did you two meet? Her answer: While my friend was browsing for Kitchen appliance supplies on Craigslist.com, I was curious and clicked on his post
- Do you remember which section? I am not sure, I don't remember but he was only looking for a tour guide for his first trip to Thailand.
- Are you a tour guide? Her answer: lol no, I am not

He then checks her paperwork and all the evidence she brought (and she had a lot of pictures of my 4 trips to her and engagement etc.) and everything checks out just fine with a minor discrepancy in her Thai paperwork official certificate, which wasn't a problem.

5. He tells her "Congratulations, you will be getting your visa. Just be sure to bring this official Thai document and you can pick up your visa on the same day". She told me interview took only 15 minutes.
