Hello All, I am writing this because I owe all of our success to this website. There is a lot of good information here. We arrived 90 minutes before our interview which is probably not a good idea. It was really cold and not really a place to sit and wait you are basically waiting on a street corner. Our interview was at 8am we were out of the embassy by 10:30am. Probably a good idea to have someone wait outside that can hold your cellphone. They are not allowed inside the embassy. The Indian staff at the embassy is complete nuts. They ask you about documents that you have already submitted to the NVC. Thank god I had read reviews on this website, it's a great idea to take extra copies of your birth certificate, PCC etc.
I the petitioner was went to the interview with my wife.there were 2 people conducting interviews. As we watched the interviews ahead of us my wife wanted to be picked by the woman interviewer who seemed more friendly but she asked a lot more questions such as let me see your wedding album and who is who. Where the young Caucasian guy was lot more direct with his questions. We were interviewed by him. He called up my wife and I, he asked who was I. Started with the questions
1) your husband's name
2) husband's DOB
3) how long has he been in America
4) how did he immigrate to america
5) what does he do?
6) where does he work?
Then the interviewed turned to me and asked about my work.
7) how did you two meet?
8) how long did he stay after the wedding
9) when was the wedding?
10) how many times has he visited you since the wedding?
Then he turned to me and asked to see my passport for stamps for my entries to India.
He then asked about the wedding, how many people attended? Who was there from America?
Next thing he said we were approved and go to the next counter to see when you will receive your visa. We had the passport in our hand with the visa in 3-4 business days. Interviewer did not ask about the wedding album. I had submitted all proof of relationship to CSC. This is the key. Also best advise that I can give is remain calm during the interview process this will allow the brain to function properly and answer questions that are asked by the interviewer. Also please have copies of all your paperwork. Good Luck
