I had to travel to Rio to be "present" for my fiancee interview, please do not take my review into consideration due to the fact that our process was way different than any other process here, I am just giving a consulate review, because the staff that works there now, it's very prepared, knowledgeable, and their performance exceeds many others i have seen before, everyone it's very friendly, and as i mentioned before they are capable to distinguish real from fake and everything in between.. we had our K-1 process revoked on 2010, just because my previous marriage in the US was to someone from the same country and for some reason that raised a tremendous red flag.
It was so confusing that the consul herself (a nice lady) capable of doing such a great job, requested that i should be present, and by the time i got there, in the next few days, she conducted a 3 hour interview with the purpose of clarifying our situation, the output of that one on one interview came as expected, her visa was approved, she was very happy and i was super excited.
There are not many immigrant visa cases being processed in Brazil as it was in the past, there use to be more, I honestly don't see why a visa waiver should be approved by the Department of State for Brazil and Chile since these both are the emerging countries in South America right now, with a good economic standing and a great economic potential.
All in all, i am happier with the decision made by the consul herself... She is an Angel.. Thank you Miss Susan
