Well three years of patience, strength, and persistence my best friend can finally be with me for good.
March 8th Lekan went for his interview at the Lagos, embassy and here are the details of his interview.
Lekan's interview was at 7 am and he was ready and waiting at 5:30 outside.
He said there were around 20 people ahead of him in que and that around 2 of them were declined, prior to him getting his interview.
His stack of paperwork was very high and some of the people were teasing him that he really had a lot with him.
He said he knew it was his turn when he saw the woman who was around 30-35 grab a similar stack of paperwork prior to him being called. The guy who was sitting next to him was nervous and said he didn't want that lady because she seemed to be drilling people with questions. Lekan said he really wanted her because he knew he was prepared and wanted a chance to show all of our proof.
The interview started with her drilling him a little about how we originally started talking. She kept saying wasnt it strange for you to email someone you never met, and how did she first react when you emailed her the first time. He just told her the truth, and that i was beautiful and we seemed to have a lot in common and it all just kind of started as emailing and friends. She seemed satisfied when he said i was beautiful. She asked what types of things did we do when I visited Nigeria both times. Lekan showed a lot of orignal pictures even though our lawyer had photo copys in with the packet. He went into detail as to what we did in each picture she looked at. She also asked how we communicate day to day. Lekan showed all of our phones records and highlighted the most common times which are my lunch break at work and before i go to bed. She agreed that we talked a lot throughout the day. She asked him what we have been talking about most throughout recent days. Lekan said that we have been preparing and working towards him getting his visa, and preparing a lot for the wedding. He then asked her if she wanted to see the wedding plans, and pulled out a separate folder with pictures of our venue and a receipt of the ring he got, and some of the other things i sent him to show our plans. After that she smiled and said ok Mr. Adeniran I am approving your visa, and you can pick it up in one week.
I knew he wouldn't have an issue because we have real and true feelings for each other and have gone through so much just to be with each other. I was happy he was given a chance to show all of our evidence.
I couldn't be any happier and I haven't seen my best friend in almost a year. I got lots of information here, in addition to hiring an immigration attorney which just made my work easier. Thanks to all who have been positive, and I hope this review helps to reinforce that being honest is your best bet.
