Got to consulate at 7:30 for our 9:30 appointment. Taken to side entrance to wait for about 15 minutes. Then through main entrance to the window to get a number. They give you a small form to fill out. This is important, (take an ink pen). Almost no one had one and we were frantically passing one around. By the time my fiance got it filled out her number was up on the board. We rushed to the window to give them our paperwork. The window is very small and I mean very. We had to put it under the window a little at a time. I had made a complete copy of the 134 support form but it was pushed back to us. The lady questioned the birth certificate for my fiance. She had a sister in her old hometown get it made for her just recently. She excepted it and we went to have a seat. Waited about 30 minutes to be called for interview. I went to the window with her and we were both sworn in. I took out our evidence that was seperated into 2 packets, before engagement and after engagement. We also had around 200 pictures of us together. There were 2 men at the window. One spoke English and Vietnamese, the other Vietnamese. I told him I would have to take it out and feed it in a little at a time? He said that may not be necessary? He then asked my name and if I was the petitioner? He then asked how many trips I had made to see my fiance? It was my third. He asked the date of my first trip and the date we met? She was then finger printed. He then said I could have a seat and if they needed me they would let me know. They interviewed my fiance for about 15 minutes. She said they asked information about my first trip and what we did? Asked about my parents our engagement party and why they didnt attend. She told them my father is 87 and my mom won't fly. Asked how many times I had been married and about my children. There names and what they do for work? She said they asked several times why my son who is 20 isn't in college. Maybe wanting to know if I was supporting him? She said they asked about her husband several times but she always corrected them. I sat and watched the entire thing. The Vietnamese man looked at me several times. Maybe to see if I was interested or just going through the motions. At the end they asked for pictures and looked at several. Then they gave her a form to take to a window to get EMS receipt for her visa packet to be mailed to her. All is now done through the mail you no longer can pick up visa at the consulate. The form is white but the EMS receipt is pink. The packet's of evidence neverleft the shelf beside the window. I worked hard on them but I when I saw them ask for pics and not the packets I knew she was going to pass.
