Review Topic: K1 Visa

I got to the Embassy about 30 minutes prior to my interview. It was at 8:15am and there was a bunch of people waiting outside already. I got in the Non-Immigrant Visa line, which was apparently incorrect. The lady sent me to the other one for "Sonstige Verwaltungsangelegenheiten" (other adminitrative matters), which was good because there was only one person ahead of me. I was handed a number there and then sent through security. I did not have any electronics on me but I did have the CD from my medical with me. They took it from me, handed me a number and told me to pick it up after my interview. Inside the embassy I had to sit down for probably 25 minutes. Then I was called to window #23. The lady at the window spoke german with me and was super friendly. She handed me the sheet that tell you what order to put your documents in. I sat back down waited for about another half hour and was called to window #21. The lady there asked me to verify some information I had given on the sent in forms (she just read my name, my parents name and some other things and asked if it was correct). After that she explained that i will have to file for AOS once in the US and also said what they will send me along with my visa (the envelope that is not allowed to be opened ;D). She then told me to sit back down and wait for my interview. I was really nervous (which I later found out was totally unnecessary). Another half hour or 45 minutes later I was called to window 17. The lady there was very nice, asked a few random questions (I think it was like 4 - nothing to worry about). She then looked through my paperwork and said: It all looks fine, we will be sending the visa to you - usually takes about 7 - 14 days to get it. It was so fast - unbelievable.
I was a little bit upset though, cause I had collected so much evidence of relationship (pictures, phone bills, plane ticket stubs, letters, Emails) and they did not even ask for anything. So much work for nothing :D !!

All in all I can say that I was super nervous - which looking back at the very positive experience was totally unnecessary.
