February 1, 2012 we turned in documents at 1200. February 2, 2012 we queued up at 6:30 a.m. At about 07:45 a.m. a VO came outside and checked appointment letters and passports and if all was well, you got a small piece of paper and went inside to go to the interview room. I waited for my wife in the 3rd floor coffee shop where the all beverages were 49/50RMB.

About 10:30 a.m. she came to me and smiled, I asked if she got it, and she said yes. We celebrated then left for a meal.

The interview lasted but 4-5 minutes, not many questions. Only, when did you and your husband first meet? How did you feel about your husband when you first met him (oh he is handsome). O.k. says the VO, show me some photos. He gives a cursory glimpse at a few photos and gives them back. She believes she had it made when the VO began a sentence, 2 or 3 times with, "When you arrive in the U.S. …." She felt the VO was quite friendly. She gave him my passport and asked if we went to H.K. and Macau and she said yes (because we did). Asked how we communicated, she said in English. The VO spoke perfect Chinese and she asked if he could help the husband learn Chinese. There was some other friendly chit chat, then VO told her that she passed, interview ended, and she left to get me in the coffee shop.

We took a ton of evidence and prints but I was surprised that they only asked to see our photos and my passport. Nothing else. I am guessing the paperwork we had already turned in was very good and made their decision process more easy.
