Don't go to the embassy too early, because the won't let you in and you will have to wait outside...literally outside in fresh air.
You will have to clear security in the embassy building, so don't take any phone or laptop with you because they are not allowed.
When I got there, i was the first one to enter, a girl by the window 1 checked my documents, i had to sign something, the lady was not very friendly, typical Lithuanian officer and then had to wait for the lady at the very last window to interview me. She was very friendly and polite (not Lithuanian of course, she was American), she asked me to tell her about our relationship, how and where we met, also asked about our friends and after like 10 minutes she said "go and enjoy your life in the USA"
While still at the first window, i asked them to send my passport by mail via courier. Not a good idea: passport came in an envelope together with other documents all wrinkled. Someone who packed it, squeezed it inside, so my visa and other passport pages were wrinkled.
In general, the experience at the embassy was ok, but people working there could be friendlier.
