visa category: f2a - unmarried child under 21 of LPR
so i was at the embassy at 6:00 and the speedex lounge was full of ppl..but they were all too tired to form a line at the counter...thus I was very ahead in line...also since i was only carrying my documents...no purse..no electronics ...I went through the security check easily and boarded the shuttle first..took the first seat so that I could get off easily...then after 10-15 mins got off...I was the first person again in the embassy-immigrant line...I went in ...security check was again quickly done..it was 7:15 and I sat in the waiting room ..then had my finger printing done..here they also match you with the photograph u had submitted...
then I went to another waiting room ..waited for some time then submitted my documents...medical report, passport, tax return, police certificate...the man at the counter returned some extra/additional documents...(not the originals that i had submitted)...
Now I was waiting for my interview...my name was called..I went there..the CO was a female ...she asked me if i wanted to do the interview in english or in urdu...i said urdu...(its better to do it in urdu..since u cant hear them clearly..because of microphone and the noisy environment)..the interview was simple ..where is the petitioner...what does she do...where she lives...how did she go...when did she go...who is the co-sponsor/household member..is he married...(the co-sponsor is my elder brother..)..what do I do here..
then she congratulated me..said my visa has been approved...and i would get a call from amex in 0-5 days..
I got the call in two days...they sent my passport with visa, brown sealed envelope and all the original documents I had submitted..
the embassy staff is very nice ...there is a canteen as well...
i was done with my interview at 8:05..since i was first in line...so be quick and all the best to everyone.
