I'm not sure what to type in here so.. please bear with me...
Monday... the day that is the hardest to get up... and its the day of our interview! 9/11 no less! Our interview time was at 7:50am. we live only 10 miles away but its in downtown LA... the mere thought.... sigh.
that morning, we left like 7am flat... traffic westbound on the 10 was its usual turtle pace.... got to downtown 7:40am. took the first public parking structure that was available... which is opposite the federal bulding on los angeles st. we were halfway already when. waah! i left my phone! had to run back and get it! 5 mins left! go out of the stairways. (the parking was at sublevels) turned the wrong way! good thing we asked the handy policeman that was taking his break. 
he pointed us the right way and off we go.... cant run now.. my wife is preggy...
crossing the street. we were presented with two entryways. which way do we go??? the guards was kind enough to show us the way as we enter, we encounter the metal detectors! Darn! i had to wear the pants that has a gazillion coins that day!... took it out... passed.. (beep!) went back. emptied all my pockets. passed... (beep! darn it!) my wife pointed out. "your belt!" shoot. i had to take it off. finally! i passed and all was quiet!... 2 mins to go!
we went up using one of the elevators and haha! dont you know it. we ended up at the wrong side of the building. had to walk all the way to the north side! what room? 6001! federal buildings sure are confusing when you're in a hurry...
we got to room 6001, went to the small receiving window and i looked at the time. just in time! gave the notice to the lady at the window who was just standing up to bring the papers in the office... whew!
we had a small 10 to 15 minute wait..., looking around. its a small room with enough seats to seat 40 people. it was not full at that time... most people came with their lawyers ( or they seem like lawyers to me ... ) a few just by themselves like us.
a lady soon popped out, called my name and asked us to come in to her office. it was a small office. a table some chairs, a computer, a high end printer, a phone, some cabinets and a shelf. she had us seated and immediately got down to business...
firstly, my impression of her... she seems nice but she tries to look stern and official. she started by asking our names and birthdates. our address... if i work or not.. and i realized she was going down the list of answers in either the i485 or i130. she asked when i got divorced. when i got married (4 times)  how we met, she asked for our rental agreement... our joint accounts... pictures of our civil wedding... it seems she was particulary interested that my uncle and her mom was there in the wedding. she asked for photos of uncle with my family, photos of me with her family... she wasnt even interested in our date pics... she got copies of the insurance, her certificate of employment and a few other things....
in my words.. i believe that, if you have the same case as ours, what you need to show is proof of cohabitation and commingling of funds. to prove you are legitimately married...
all that took place in 15mins or less.. then she asked us to wait outside...
10mins later. she popped her head out and congratulated me. (Thank You God!)
gave me a welcome letter and a letter that states a few things i need to know...
all in all... AWRIGHT!
