We had a lot of problems receiving mail from USCIS during our AOS, so we came to the building with no Appointment Letter. We knew what our interview date and time was from checking our case progression on the USCIS website. The security guards were really nice, and told us to go check at one of the windows. She took some info from us and told us to wait in the waiting area. Moments later, an officer came in with a blank sheet of paper and told me to write down our names with the A#. Our appointment was actually scheduled for 10:40, so we just waited. The same officer came back right on time. She was extremely nice, which took me by surprise, since everyone said how the officers were usually polite but not overly friendly. She asked Paul some basic questions, asked how we met, asked what sort of evidence we brought with us, and even joked with us about how much of a hassle it was to get our appointment letter. We got complimented on our organisational skills She was very helpful and wanted to make sure we had all of our questions answered before we left. All and all a very pleasant experience.
