As long as you have a legitimate relationship, the only thing that you really need to concern yourself with is having the proper documentation. Please do your research and have all of the documents that are asked for. The two biggest items that I noticed was giving people trouble were the birth certificate, "en forma literal or in literal form", and others had police certificates that were too old. The folks at the Embassy have to sift through quite a bit of information and make determinations as to whether or not to grant visas in a relatively short amount of time, so they dont go out of their way to help you, dont take this personally. In addition, they cant do or say anything that would lead someone to believe that they are giving anyone preferrential treatment. Over all our experience at the embassy in Tegucigalpa was positive.
