Ok my appointment was at 8:30am and i arrived at 7am, by the time arrived there was already a aline of about 50 people. While im waiting in the line there are people checking to ensure all your paperwork is in order, they will ask for your ds-156, 157 & 157k in addition to the NOA2, the receipt showing you paid for your visa appointment and 2 passport style photos and the ds-230. Once they check the documents you will go in the waiting area located outside but within the gates of the embassy and then after about 15 minutes they will call you row by row and when you go inside there is a funny guy employee who will give you a number and tell you where to go. After that you will wait to be called and at this point you are sitting close enough to the windows that you can hear all the questions being asked by the embassy employees. From what i seen it seems they call your number at random and maybe this is to catch you off guard, i was fortunate to be 5th to last and had about 2 hours to listen to all the questions being asked and it seems they ask the same question to everyone, below is a list of the questions they asked. I will say the CO i got was very nice and friendly making me feel very comfortable he was a young white man maybe in his late 20's.
Questions:
Who is the petitioner?
Who is the beneficiary?
How did you meet?
Where did you meet?
How many times did you meet?
What was he doing in the island? <- this question might be specific because we met when he was visiting the island for work.
Did he meet your family?
Where did he stay the first time he visited you?
How long does he usually stay in the island?
What does he do for a living?
What do you do for a living?
Was he ever married?
Are you married?
Whats the name of his X-Wife?
Do you know when they got divorced? <--Provide specific date not just Yes!!!
Do you know her? I answered yes but not personally.
How long will you stay in Jamaica?
When do you plan to move to the States?
When do you plan to get married? Within 90 days of my arrival!
Have you ever met his family?
Has he ever met your family?
How do you communicate and for how long?
How many brothers and sisters does he have?
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
I want to add that you need to be prepared, i seen so many people not organized and getting denied, people not bringing proof of the relationship or not knowing the fiance mothers name etc... Also some people do not have the medical. I would also say to answer all questions in some form of detail but dont ramble on too much. They asked some people for proof of relationship such as photos and chat logs although i had all this evidence they did not ask me for any proof of relationship and i suspect this is because i knew my fiance so well that they didnt feel the need to do so. Some of the questions i heard asked of others are in regards to whose in the photos and when/where was the photo taken and you shold have dates written on all photos and your answers should match those dates this is the reason people say write the dates on the photos.
