Cannot comment on the actual staff at the Embassy as Im still waiting for my interview, but so far numerous phone calls and emails all seem to be met with the same response... "Nothing Yet". I called this morning and at first was told they couldnt give me any information on the phone. When I explained again that all I wanted was confirmation they had recieved my file from NVC (Which was sent 27th July 2005), I got the reply "Oh sorry is it a visa your waiting for?" I explained again that I filed for a CR-1 and everything was finalised and sent from NVC on 27th July they then told me "Well I cant see anything on screen but its probably in the building"
I hope they really are as friendly and efficient on the day of the interview but so far in my personal experience, if you need to contact them via email or phone dont expect an immediate reply (I sent an email 14 days ago and still havent had a reply only the generated FAQ they send telling you to wait 24-48 hours for a reply), and if you do call, again dont expext a full answer to a simple question. :whistle:
