I arrived at the embassy at 12:45 but wasn't allowed in till 1. I was first in line so I did the airport like security, they scan your belongings and take any electronics from you to store in a locker, this includes USB's.
I went into the main building and was greeted by another officer who gave me my number and told me to take a seat. I was called a few minutes later and asked for the visa fee, I didn't bother getting a postal order or bank draft as cash is easier ( A woman had brought a postal order for 263 euro and they couldn't accept it because it wasn't in dollars so do yourself a favour and bring cash ) I was then told to sit back down and a few minutes later I was called up to another window where a woman collected all my paperwork, as long as you have everything and it's all in order it's a very quick process! after giving her everything, she told me to take a seat and a CO would call me up shortly.
After waiting about 40 minutes I was called up by the CO, she was friendly and even commented that I had really nice eyes haha. it was a very easy and quick interview, the questions I was asked were: 1. Fiancee's name and date of birth. 2. Where was your fiancee born. 3. How many siblings does she have. 4. what's her mother and fathers name. we then talked a little about Ireland and she told me she was issuing me my visa . all in all I was about an hour and a half in the embassy and it was so quick and easy! my only advice is prepare, make sure everything is in order and you have all the document!
