Review Topic: K1 Visa

Well, I could hardly wait to come home and write this review!! Woo hoo! This is because if we had not read some of the reviews BEFORE we went to ours today, we would have forgotten our copy of the package originally submitted (I-129F )and we would not have known that the petitioner can actually go to the interview with their fiance. This made our process interview a whole lot less stressful.
The security welcome was quite serious and there were not too many applicants there. Some sought passports while others sought different Visas. They were VERY strict about leaving your stuff at home. No cell phones, cameras, etc. Just carry your papers, ID and that is it!
From the time of the appointment to the moment when we were told that the K-1 was going to be issued, took approximately 90 minutes. Just follow their instructions. Once we got upstairs, everyone was quite pleasant. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PAPERWORK ORGANIZED! They will give you a list of required documents. They will be found in the copied package you submitted before at the beginning..... I-129F.
The actual interview in done at a window...no sitting down for this! The gentleman that interviewed us was empathetic. He made us feel comfortable and we never felt intimidated.
We believe it helped that we were there together for both parties involved. As long as you are honest, organized and pray before you go, evrything should be okay. We are sooooo very relieved. All the best to you all! Hang in there....BREATHE!
