It was not what I expected! FIRST OF ALL!.
We arrived at 6 am on the dot, our appt. wasn't until 6:45am my fiance didn't want to be there to early since there was no point which is true. We didn't stay near by he actually lives about 15-20mins away. Got into line 2 waited about 20 mins. it moved pretty quickly. Once near the door man and woman get seperated into 2 different lines. He actually was done before me one thing make sure you do not bring your cell phones very strict about that. Once inside you just see a large waiting room with fans and large tvs and metal benches.
We got number 455 don't panick the numbers are not called in order. My fiance thought we had miss the number because it was 8 am and we still had not been called. Well we got called at 8:30 to window 20 to give all of out applications and passport, medical exam results, birth certificate, police records, cedula 2x2 photos and if like in our case were to small you can get 6 for 200 pesos there. make sure you bring all the application they ask for in the forms they send theyre 4 application in total if I'm not mistaken. And the one they give the link out on the letter make sure you get that one. If not they might give you a hard time since the new revised version has a barcode.
After that you pay the $210 in window 12 go back to the first window they called you adn give receipt. After that she will inform you that the next call is only for the person been petition for finger prints. after that we waited for like 30 mins to be called for the finger prints and thast was by 9 something or so then, at 10 am we got called for the interview we got a women CO nice, but ruff she seem tough anyways she ask for his name and ask if he had been married before or if we had any kids after she ask us to raise our right hand she swore us "I think that's how you write it" she approach me in english ask for me to sit in the waiting room and she will call me later. he was there for about 15 mins then then she called for me but she had pronounce my name wrong so I was paying no mind til someone approach me and told me my fiance was calling me he was not allowed to leave the window oh yes we had window 18. after that she ask him to leave and ask me the question.
-how we met?
-when did I decide to go meet him in person?
-how did the relationship evolved?
-How many times I've travel to Dominican Republic?
-Where did I work?
-What was my job position?
-What was my schedule like?
-what type of vehicule I drove?
-what where our plans to get married?
-Our plans for a honey moon?
-why we didn't get married in the Dominican Republic?
-Who did I live with?
-where was he gonna live at?
-if we used any type of protection during sexual intercourse?
I might have miss some, but there we lots of question then she ask me to call my fiance over. We actually had one question which we didn't really get right it was the one with what vehicule did I drive. But I think she saw the honestly that he didn't know and it was. After that I called him over and she was writing something done. "also during the whole time she is questioning me she as a paper with all the question she asked him and his answer and doing a check mark to the ones i answer correctly" then she said those magic work "su visa a sido aprovada" my fiance jump me hug me his eyes got watery and she was shock but happy to see our genuine reaction. after that my fiance told me that everyone saw the reaction and was laughing and smiling since they can see thought the window. we went to domex and paid the $10 to get it deliver.
I was hoping he was going to get it before I got back to the states, but we are still waiting for the passport.
p.s. she didn't ask for any evidence which sucked because I had over 100 pictures, and didn't ask for the affidavit from the co-sponsor or my working papers. But make sure you bring that just in case!
