Where to begin...my appointment time was 8am...so i got there at seven am because sitting at the hotel was making me more nervous, lol (stayed at the mercure, little more than walking distance but i would highly recommend). I sat downstairs until about 7:40 and then i went up to level 10 to go through security. after i handed over my bag i got told to go sit down until i was allowed up to level 59. after a few minutes i was allowed up, when i got to the floor they checked my passport again and then let me through the next door and told me to take an immigrant ticket. i was the only one up there so i barely sat down before i got called up to the first window. The lady was very nice she took my passport, my express envelope, visa fee receipt, and the other couple documents they were missing before and then i went and sat down again. i probably sat down for about ten minutes (felt like more). before i got called up i could see the consular officer going through my file, he took something out and got up and asked someone about it, then came back and my number came up. He was very, very friendly, made me feel as about at ease i was ever going to feel i think. the questions i remember him asking were:
are you married?
is travis married?
do you have kids?
does travis have kids?
do you have kids together?
have you been to the US?
has he been to Australia?
Did he propse?
How did you meet? When was that?
Then he asked a few questions about my medical, i used to be on medication so he asked if i was taking anywith me as i wouldn't have as good health insurance when i get to the US. Then he asked if i was looking forward to driving on the right side of the road, i told him i'm buying a bicycle becase i'm too chicken, lol.
and he also asked what i planned to do in the US, i said get married (he laughed and said 'well i know that')

After that he told me that the visa had been approved. Although i already suspected as much because when i went up to the window the congratulations letter was in my passport then he took it out and sat it in front of him for a few minutes then put it aside, lol.

Ummm, i think that was it, i'm terrible at recounting things though i hope this either helps or comforts someone, lol. I was terrified but everyone there is Soooo friendly!

Also, i took soooooooo much evidence with me and did not get asked for any of it.
