K1 Visa Interview August 15

Arrived at 5:30am and was number 10 in line. Door opened and pre-screening for entry at 6:45 am. Exit 11:45am = 4hours 45 min. Interview = 15min. Pick up visa 4 days later.

Consular Officer very direct with probing questions concerning information in our application. Interview was conducted to quickly verify if there is a real relationship, find false information and if the applicant fully understands what they are doing.

Photos, email and telephone logs where inspected.

Consular officer looked for weak spots to dis-stabilize fiancée. In our case, the officer was aggressive in asking why my fiancée did not know more about my past divorce, date married and specific reason for divorce. After, Officer asked Fiancée if she really thinks that I will take care of her in the US. Fiancée remained calm and answered correctly.

The consular officer will take questions from information in your application. Review well your application with applicant.

Interview in English helps a lot.
Prepare, practice and be ready for the interview. Remain calm.

For us the questions were:

• Where did we meet.
• Have you met his family.
• What do you know about his family.
• Where does your fiancé live.
• Where did he live before.
• Where will you live.
• Have you been married.
• Do you have children.
• Has your fiancée been married before.
• How many children does he have.
• Where do his children live.
• When did he get divorced.
• Do you know why your fiancée had problems with his ex-wife.
• Why do you not ask him more questions about his divorce.
• Do you think your fiancée will really take care of you.

Good Luck
