We arrived at the embassy at 11:45am for our 1:00pm interview. The guard told us we were not even allowed to line up until 12:45pm, so to come back at that time. At 12:30pm we noticed people were already arriving and lining up, so we returned and they started allowing people into the embassy. There were only approximately 25 people total that were there to be interviewed, so there was no need to arrive early anyway.

The guard told me that I was not going to be allowed in the embassy, that only the person being interviewed was allowed in. I became a little pushy and informed him that I had e-mailed the embassy prior to even coming back to .... to make sure I could come...or I would not have made this half way around the world trip again! He made a few phone calls inside the embassy and finally they gave me permission to enter, but I was not allowed to sit with my husband a few rows away.

My husband was called to the window and asked to present his passport and pictures. They did not want any of the other several hundred pages of documents we had prepared..(but still glad we had them...) He again was asked to sit and wait for about 15 minutes and called back up to be fingerprinted. Again asked to sit, and within 30 minutes he was called up again for his interview with a nice young american man.

Questions asked:
So, what is your wife\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s name?
How did you guys meet?
Tell me more about it?
What did you like about her?
When was the last time you met her?
Have you ever lived abroad?
What do you think you will do in the United States if you get to go?

He left for a few minutes and came back and asked him to the bottom of the DS-230 and gave back all our original documents.
Asked if all the documents were there?

And then gave him a card and said ok, come back on Thursday at 1:00pm to collect your visa. My husband asked, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"so I just come back on Thursday to pick it up?\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" And the consular answered, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"yes.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"

He never asked to see one piece of paper we had brought, even though my husband kept trying to show him..ha.. He just said, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t worry, if I need something, I will ask you for it.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"

When I saw my husband get the white card and thank the consular, I jumped out of my seat and hugged him. I also thanked the consular. He just kinda smiled at me...and that was it! I couldn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t keep my happiness quiet and hugged my hubby all the way out of the embassy!

Kinda hard to believe all this worry is over in such a short time... All I can say is THANK YOU GOD!! I am so grateful to him and his wonderful answer to prayers!
