Bogota, Colombia Review on July 30, 2011:

On the Road Again

Rating:
Review Topic: K1 Visa

Arrived at Embassy at 5:40am about 3 people in line. Your'e lined up on the street now away from the area with the numbered signs. At 6am a Colombian Police Officer lets you pass towards the signs. Went to Line 3, was again 3rd in line. About 6:15 DOMESA handed out forms to fill out, 10 minutes later we were allowed in. Headed to window 40 for instructions on how to place from in file. File handed back to embassy employee within 5 minutes. There were about 70 people there in the family area by the restrooms. maybe 12 were K-1's. 20 minutes later about 7:30 fiancee called to window 31. 1- minutes of general questioning. Children of petitioners were told to sit down. After questions anoter turn in the seat. Anout 30 minutes later fiancee called to window for fingerprints. Another turn in the seat. 30 minutes later Fiancee called to windows near window 40 which is 1-10. 10 minutes of general questions only to fiancee. Visa approved. Out the door by 10:00am. Fiancee said interviewers were nice and very thorough.
1. Guy who tells you you need copies of passports and Ceduela and sends you to copy place.....not asked for by embassy.
2. Embassy is Cold bring warm clothes.
3. The Bank Helm used by the Embassy is just down the street in C something Plazza.
4. 4 vaccines were needed total cost 175x2=350 $US (Chicken pox, Flue,Tetanus,Menigitis)

Have your paperwork typed do not forget your fininical stuff. Paperwork is the most important aspect, next would be being there at the interview which was asked many times. About 3 US petitioners showed up
