Hurrah!!!! Finally we've got our visa approved After waiting almost a year all 3 of us (me, my fiance and our 3 months old son) can go home to America. Everything was easy at the embassy. My appointment was scheduled for 09:00 a.m. but we came 15-20 mins later because the traffic in Kyiv was difficult this morning. We came to one of the consulate employees who was standing outside and showed him my letter with the appointment time on it. He said that was not a problem we came later. Then we went to the embassy building and other employees told us where to go. We came into the room where were other people who came for k-1 visa interview. I went to one of the windows and said that I have an interview today at 09:00 o'clock. The man asked me my passport, forms, proof of our relationships and gave me some few questions such as, have I ever been into USA, have I ever lived abroad for more then 6 months, do I have children, am I currently married, have I ever been married, do I work, or am I studying. I gave him all my paperwork and pointed at my fiance leting him know that he was here with me. He asked me sit down and in a little bit called my name again to take finger prints. Then after waiting at about 1 hour and a half they named my name again and we all 3 went for the interview (some other couples did the same, they went for their interview together, so did we). The consulate officer started to talk Ukrainian and the after finding out I speak English, started speak English too. He said that our paperwork looks fine and he has just few questions such as, how we originally met, what my fiance's employment was and not much more than that. Then he said that he is going to approve my visa, give me a pink slip and wish us a good luck. We were happy! Good luck to all of you too!
